Avoiding lowballs
Lowballs are rarely obvious on the surface. These are the patterns worth knowing.
The obvious tell
If you are giving something worth meaningfully more than you are getting, that is a lowball. The analyzer will call it Lowball or Huge lowball and show the exact shortfall.
Never accept because the other side is impatient. Pressure is part of the tactic.
Value versus RAP bait
Someone arguing that your item "is only worth its RAP" is usually arguing for a lower number on purpose, especially when Community Value is well above RAP for that item.
If you want a second opinion, check the item page: it shows both numbers and the demand rating behind them.
Adding a second item
If someone offers a small item plus something minor to reach a "fair" total, check the total with quantities counted. Partial quantities are a common trick.
The analyzer weighs every item on both sides, so nothing gets quietly rounded in your favour.
Pressure and artificial urgency
"I have a buyer waiting", "this offer expires in a minute", "I accept untradeables". None of that makes a bad trade good.
A real trade can wait a few minutes while you check it.
Put it into practice
Run your own numbers before you accept anything.
